Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats
I have always loved Rice Krispies Marshmallow Treats & if you haven't tried it, they even have a Rice Krispies Treats cereal that is the bomb. I have my wonderful husband to thank for introducing me to that!
With St. Patricks Day just around the corner there is a not a more perfect treat to enjoy then these Lucky Charms Treats!
You'll Need:
13 x 9 inch Pan
11.5 oz. Box of Lucky Charms Cereal
1/2 cup Butter
Two 10 oz. Bags Mini Marshmallows
I love the rainbow gradient of marshmallows on top of these treats! It's beautiful & makes them even more perfect for St. Patty's Day! So let's start by separating our cereal from the marshmallows. You'll need a few little bowls, six to be exact, and a larger bowl for the cereal. Separate the mallows by color and prep your rainbow pattern. Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, & Purple.
Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot. Once melted, pour in your mini marshmallows and stir frequently! This is definitely my favorite part!
While that is melting, grease a 13 x 9 inch pan with butter.
Once marshmallows are completely melted & smooth, pour in plain Lucky Charms. Stir, Stir, Stir! Mix it up as best and as fast as you can!
Pour the treats mix into your prepared pan. I found using a piece of parchment or wax paper worked best to help push down mixture into the pan evenly.
While working fast, shape treats in pan and then sprinkle with your lucky charms marshmallows over top in the rainbow pattern. Re-press down with wax/parchment paper to stick.
Let cool at room temperature. Once cooled, cut into squares and keep in an air tight container on counter.
Have you tried making marshmallow treats with other cereals? What was your favorite combination? Let me know in the comments!
